Cardiovascular Patches

A cardiovascular patch is a medical device or engineered tissue used to repair, reinforce, or replace damaged heart or blood vessel areas, acting as a scaffold to deliver cells/drugs or provide structural support, helping with conditions after heart attacks or congenital defects by improving pumping function and preventing failure. These range from synthetic materials (like Gore-Tex) for closing holes to advanced, lab-grown tissues from stem cells that integrate with the heart to regenerate function.
